First, we want to acknowledge that our world is dealing with an issue of enormous scale and human impact. To all those who have been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), our hearts go out to you.

Secondly, in light of what is currently known about the COVID-19 and due to relevant growing concern, we at Southern Exchange Ballrooms – as well as our subsidiaries – believe it is our responsibility to prioritize the health and well-being of our clients, our guests, our employees and our community. That being said, we find it imperative to identify our current cautionary, preventative actions and communicate our amended policies for events contingent on COVID-19. We believe that this is the best way to play a constructive role in supporting local health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus. With this mindset as our highest priority, we will continue to make diligent decisions informed by the latest science-based information.

As the president, I wanted to reach out personally to provide an update on the actions that our companies are taking to help prevent the spread of the virus and support the health and well-being of our clients, guests, partners, employees and community.

Over the last couple of weeks, our facility has taken a series of precautionary steps in response to the COVID-19 news, including increased cleaning and sanitizing procedures, and guaranteeing well-supplied sanitizing provisions for employees as suggested by governing health-officials. Additionally, our sick leave policies have been adjusted to reflect federal interim guidelines, as it’s crucial to us that none of our employees feel like they need to choose between their health and their work.

It is important to us to let you know how much we appreciate your understanding that, as a valued client or partner, your experience may look different than usual as we work through this time together. Although we are currently maintaining regular operations, we are prepared to adapt swiftly and accordingly, modifying our operations as we navigate through this dynamic situation and respond quickly to any emerging situations as they become known.

As a last resort, and if directed to do so by government authorities, we will reschedule all affected events as it becomes within the best interest of you (our clients and guests), our partners and employees. If such a situation is to occur, we plan on the disruption to be temporary; we will work vigorously to resume our regular, day-to-day operations and have discussed further mitigation plans with our team members to ensure that you are well taken care of.

We have a long-standing history of caring for our patrons and partners, recognizing you all are the root of what we do at Southern Exchange Ballrooms. That is why is our intent to remain transparent and provide the latest information regarding our response to COVID-19.

We are privileged and honored to serve you and our community and are truly humbled by your understanding during this time. We look forward to seeing you soon!
